After a little break wherein I setup my hugo website, shifted to Vancouver from Alberta, completed my first data science project and many many more things learned - I am back to hacking on oddmuse. I wish I had taken down better notes, but apparently, my memory is not that bad yet, and I am able to grope around and remember many conclusions I had reached in my last feverish exploration.
There is something tranquil and simplistic about blogging oddmuse and the entire feel of the setup. The most interesting thing for me is the ability to weave together pages from tags and other search based optimisations. This enables a flexibility in creating content that is interlinked. There are several other interesting aspects to consider as well like webmentions being available.
One area I would really like to work out is the method of publishing to oddmuse. There is oddmuse-curl but I do not have it working at the moment. My current method is to export Org mode documents into markdown and paste the content in the oddmuse page.
There are scripts to upload and append content from the command line, and this would certainly be useful. However, I spend most of my time in Org mode and find it most comfortable for a free flow of thoughts and code, rather than typing and editing on the browser.
