Tags: [[tag:oddmuse]] [[tag:general]] - Created a new wiki which is the base for my personal website. This is what you are seeing! - Installed a bunch of perl modules. In particular, I wanted to get the [RSS feeds](https://oddmuse.org/wiki/RSS) up, but I am yet to implement the functionality. I can't say I know what I am doing yet, but the wiki is up and I am learning along the way. So far, there are 3 websites - a Wordpres blog, and 2 oddmuse wikis that my little Linode VPS is running on barely 500 MB of RAM as it appears. I hope to eventually ditch the wordpress setup. The only hole that I see so far is the security aspect. It appears that a secure wiki can be established by introducing passwords at the apache server level. I have a suspicion that this means that the wiki cannot even be viewed without a password, which defeats the entire purpose. - I'm currently trying out different [css examples](https://oddmuse.org/wiki/Setup_Examples), however - it seems there is a long way to go before I can create a setup that I really like. - Ported some of my technical notes to see how they render. I exported these to markdown from my org source and just pasted them into pages. This seems to render as expected so far, though there is still no syntax highlighting despite installing the pygmentize module. - Read a bunch of AlexSchroeder's diary entries. I find his writing to be intriguing and interesting. The body of his work and the way it is managed via his wiki setup is also quite inspiring. I wish to have a similar setup eventually.
